Born in Houston, raised in Tarkington Prairie--- its not even a town. It's over by Cleveland, fyi.

Went to Lee College, Baytown on the "workin' side of town."My wife, Casey is from Highlands. I actually remember when Pasadena was cowtown before anyone knew about Gilley's. My folks are involved in pro-rodeo, and Mom used to be a world-class barrel racer, who still trains horses.

I've been in radio over 24 years now, spending time in East Texas hole-in-the-wall stations, until being discovered by a rowdy friend.

I also worked in Louisiana at the time Oiler coach Bum Phillips went to New Orleans---which is how I got attached to the Saints. I've also been a big Astros fan, since way back when the Astrodome was the Eighth Wonder.

My favorite player is Jose Cruz, but there have been so many great guys from Dierker & Wynn to Bass & Doran, and of course, Nolan and Biggio.

And don't forget all those Houston Fat Stock Show & Rodeos. You dont remember that name, do you? First show I ever saw had Charlie Pride. I'll always remember Sonny & Cher there too.

At my first break in big city radio, I remember being intimidated by the fancy buildings & the elevators. I thought everyone else on the elevator was rich. (Actually, they're in debt.) One day, I got off an elevator on the wrong floor, someone mistook me for being "somebody," and I got a job in a helicopter. Total accident!

I not only did traffic in that chopper, but also learned to run the video, so a lot of stuff you saw on TV news was my work-- things on fire, etc. Also did some live reports on Channels 11 and 13.

Another day, I was on an elevator, and it went the wrong way, and that's how I met Casey. We married last year on the Elissa in Galveston.

I've been stuck in this city so long, almost forgot how to fish, but I'm an honorary member of the Beach City Rod Gun & Labrador Retriever Club. I'm also Houston's #1 WEDDING DJ! Yes, you can book me, if you hurry.

Between weddings, hanging out in the swamp, ballgames, kids, and all those traffic reports, I'm pretty busy. Drop me a line & say where you're driving in from, so I can keep an eye out on your roadway. Don't worry, I know the backroads.
